As always a year will not be complete if we have not added a few features for our guests – we like to add value for money and giving something back to our guests.  So after much deliberation and a lot of ideas we have now made a coffee area behind reception where guests can have coffee/tea/cappuccinos and a variety of other specialty coffees on the house.

This area is ideal for a quick get together for a chat, relaxing with your coffee and browsing the internet with the free uncapped wifi or just reading a book and enjoying your coffee.

Here our staff had a small birthday get together for Christa, our one receptionist.

The coffee area, here one of the owners Lenie Stander is enoying a Late.

Our newly wrapped info packs are now available in our coffee area as well as in our breakfast room.  We are proud to say that we love the new look and hope the guests enjoy this.  For those who are not familiar with this, we have packed each area’s brochures into the different designated packs, select the area to be visited and all the brochures will be inside.

This year was no exception to various functions are groups we hosted at the George Lodge.  Here is some of the functions and groups – always great memories for us.

We had two visits from Janbraai the Kyknet Celebrity with his TourdeBraai crew and we will also featured on Kyknet for this event.

The start of the Tour De Braai

Here Jan is explaining all the rules of the event to the participants. This was on the morning of their departure, here Jan is getting ready for the start of the event.

We changed our swimming pool furniture from plastic chairs and tables to these nice white washed wooden furniture.

Set up for the braai evening of the Jan Braai Crew

The swimming pool and braai area very popular in summer time and all the essentials for a braai is available to purchase from reception, all you need to get is your food and drinks

We were also honored with a visit by a group of bikers from the tour company African Iron Horse Tours.  Here are some of their spectacular bikes.

Other tour groups we had was the School groups from Stellenbosch – primary school kids, what a well behaved bunch of kids, we just loved them.

Then we had all the functions with great memories and very special to the people celebrating these different milestones.
